It's a beautiful day in the Nabor hood

From Untitled Album

We'd like you to meet one of our favorite people...Mr. Nabors. He is one of the gentlemen that we have the honor of taking food to on our Meals On Wheels route. The kids have fallen in love with him. He is almost completely blind and has lost most of his hearing, but he always recognizes the kids. We started doing Meals on Wheels about a year and half ago. When Great-Grandma passed away in 2003, there was a great void in all of our lives, but especially the children's. Senior adults have a lot to give to the younger generations and we wanted our kids to know that life is valuable whether it is an unborn child or 97 year-old man. I am sure that Mr. Nabors will never read a blog, more or less ours', but I wanted to take a chance and let the rest of the world know about him.

Nice picture (and a great blog title, I am impressed!) Glad they have someone to help take care of. Meals on Wheels is a great program. We used to deliver the Town Tooter to the Council on Aging in Hendersonville for them to give out to their MOW folk. They couldn't wait to get their copy!
